The Dream Design National Summit is a gathering of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people aged 18-30 from across the continent to come together to listen, learn, share, and collectively reimagine an education future of our own design.
Held from 6–8 October at Murrook Cultural Centre, the Summit creates a culturally grounded space for young mob to reflect on their learning journeys, explore the history and politics of Indigenous education, and re‑imagine learning systems that are made by us and for us. Grounded in self‑determination and collective power, Dream Design centres young people as knowledge holders, agents of change, and custodians of the longest continuing cultures in the world.
Over three days, delegates will engage in deep yarning, shared learning, and collective dreaming. Together, young people will build a shared understanding of the current context shaping Indigenous education, while designing a future that centres strength, identity, culture, and community
The Summit will explore themes including Indigenous rights to education, treaty negotiating, nation‑building, wellbeing, and systems change.
